Choc Cherry Milkshake

I’m getting into the Christmas spirit by making everything with cherries! And so came about this Chocolate Cherry Shake. Cherries are so Christmassy – and chocolate and cherries were supposed to go together, weren’t they?

This is the easiest recipe in the world! All you need is frozen bananas on hand. Oh, and some frozen cherries, which may be a bit hard to find, or you could freeze your own. I found mine at our local supermarket. Win!

Choc Cherry Milkshake

I made this recipe very basic, but you could snazz it up however much you want! You could make it with a plant based milk instead of coconut water, to give it a creamier feel. Or, you could add some vegan ice cream to give it an even more creamy dreamy consistency!

We topped ours with whipped cream, which you can buy from most health/vegan/organic shops, or you could make your own. I usually follow this awesome recipe by Minimalist Baker. It just gives it a lovely finish, looks great, and tastes great too! Then we topped ours with some cacao powder and some chopped glacè cherries, and voilà! You have yourself a beautiful, Chrismassy drink!

If you love this drink, you’ll love our White Chocolate and Cardamom drink, and why not try it with our Nutmeg Spiced Cookies!?
