This Golden Turmeric Milk is a perfect warming winter drink. Turmeric is such an incredible medicinal herb; anti-inflammatory, anti-fungal, and boosting immunity.
As well as turmeric, this drink is jam packed full of amazing nutrients to combat disease and keep our immune system healthy.
Perfect for a rainy afternoon, or an after dinner drink, this recipe is designed for 2 people, but you can easily increase the quantities to make it for more people.
I know it seems like a lot of ingredients in this Golden Turmeric Milk, but trust me, it tastes absolutely delicious and it takes no time at all to make.
Another amazing ingredient in this drink is coconut oil. Coconut oil is good for digestion, antibacterial, anti inflammatory, anti fungal and boosts the immune system. It’s also said to prevent heart disease and osteoporosis. If you’re interested in reading more about the benefits of coconut oil, I found this great article by Dr Axe, which you can read here.
I put cardamom in this awesome Golden Turmeric Milk, simply because I love it and I’m a bit obsessed. Cardamom also has many benefits, which you can read about here.
Star anise gives it an over all liquorice type taste, and I sweetened it with coconut sugar, which I love and I find it gives it a nice depth of flavour.
