Nutmeg Cookies Mixture

Nutmeg has had a bit of an interesting reputation. Eating too much of this alluring spice could have you hallucinating. You would have to eat a fair amount though, not the measly amount that you would usually use for baking. Read more about Nutmegs surprising reputation here.

Nutmeg Cookies

I was so proud when we created these cookies. Nearly every time I make cookies they are too soft, or don’t hold their shape. To our joy, the nutmeg spiced cookies¬†held their shape and they weren’t too soft. I have made a few batches and if you leave them in the oven a few minutes longer they will be hard on the inside, but we prefer cookies to be hard on the outside and slightly soft in the middle.
