Oh. My. God. How good is garlic bread!? It’s probably the best thing since sliced bread, haha. I just love the oiliness, crispiness and garlicky-ness of this Super Simple Vegan Garlic Bread.
The best thing is, you can eat it as an appetizer or an accompaniment. You could even eat it on it’s own. You could put chopped tomato, red onion and basil on top and make a pretty mean bruschetta (olives would work pretty awesomely too).
I’ve put dried rosemary and thyme on this one, but you could easily use fresh herbs, or no herbs – just garlic mixed with olive oil works just as well. Mix it up as little or as much as you want! I also like a bit of spice, so I put a touch of chilli in the mix too.
Homemade garlic bread is just waaaaaay, way better than store bought from the supermarket. And, it doesn’t even take long to make. It’s oily, crunchy, moreish, garlicky, and delicious.

- 3 cloves garlic
- 1 tsp dried rosemary
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- Generous pinch salt and pepper
- 1/4 tsp chilli flakes
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1/3 of a turkish bread

Crush garlic in a bowl

Add olive oil
-
Add all other ingredients. Herbs, chilli, salt and pepper

Mix well

Cut turkish bread in half

Spread olive oil mix onto the turkish bread, covering well and adding liberally

Bake in moderate oven under grill for around 10 to 12 minutes or until golden on top
Use fresh herbs if preferred or handy
Leave out herbs if desired
Add tomato, red onion and basil to make a yummy bruschetta
