Josh and I don’t drink much, but I do like using liquer in desserts – it just takes it to the next level, you know? Like our Grand Marnier Ice Cream with Hot Chocolate Fudge Sauce! You can also totally leave out the Grand Marnier from this dessert. Leave off completely or perhaps substitute with fresh orange juice.

We made this dessert with blood plums out of my Mum’s garden. Homegrown produce just seems to taste that much better! I can actually thank my Mum for this recipe because we had it for dessert there a few weeks back when we had a weekend of cooking up a storm with her fresh produce! We made some stewed plums and apricots and plum and apricot chutney too. So Yum! Thanks Mum!

This recipe is perfect for a romantic dessert for two, or a nice finisher for a dinner party! Make sure the plums are soft after you bake them by putting a knife or skewer through them to test. If it goes through easily then they should be good to serve (I suggest a vegan vanilla ice cream!). You may need to cook them for longer depending on your oven.
