Teriyaki Tofu

Ingredients
  • 500g tofu
  • 1/3 cup cornflour
  • 1 - 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1 tbsp caster sugar
  • 2 tbsp mirin
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sake
Instructions
  1. Cut the tofu into squares or rectangles of your desired size. Coat them in cornflour. Heat up the oil in a non sitck fry pan and cook the tofu for a few minutes on each side, so they are slightly browned.

  2. Meanwhile in a small bowl mix the caster sugar, mirin, soy sauce and sake. Mix well. When the tofu has browned, add this mixture to the pan. It will start to go sticky, so turn the tofu often to get it coated in the sauce and cook until the tofu is browned nicely and well coated. Now serve it up with whateve you want! Enjoy!
