Visit to LuvaBerry Strawberry Farm

Last weekend Josh and I had a little getaway on the Sunshine Coast, and on our way back to the Gold Coast, we visited Luva Berry Strawberry Farm!

LuvaBerry is family run business by Mandy and Adrian Shultz, who have been growing and producing strawberries for 13 years.

It is located about an hour north of Brisbane, so in between Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast.

They also grow other types of herbs, such as rosemary, tarragon, chives and sage, and have a fairly substantial finger lime orchard.

One of the best things to do at LuvaBerry is to pick your own fresh strawberries! Costing just $15 and you get to take home 3kg of strawberries each, as well as eat as many as you want while picking!

There’s also a little shop where you can purchase jams, freeze dried fruit/powders and sorbet!

We also took a tour of the farm with Adrian, where he showed us the herbs and the different types of strawberries they grow, explaining a bit about them and the business as he went along.

These strawberries were next level delicious, even Josh who doesn’t normally like strawberries really loved the juicy freshness and the beautiful taste of them.

We even spotted a green tree frog in the Finger Lime orchard! So cute!

The next day I made a gorgeous Strawberry Custard Tart which I have put here on my blog. It was delicious! I wanted to make some sorbet too, but that will have to wait till we visit next, because we’ve already eaten all the strawberries!
